There you see Astroland in its death throes over in Coney Island. The amusement park's lease expired today with absolutely no chance in hell that it'll be renewed. I had many fond memories running around, getting dizzy and forcing my parents to spend insane quantities of money on tickets that were exchanged for rides. Now, the inevitable question becomes, what comes next? Will there be flying halographic whales as promised? In this era of hope and change, anything is possible right? I won't hold my breath... :-X After all, I'm still waiting for the Second Avenue subway line in Manhattan to be completed...in the year 2020 or something like that.

The Mutilation of Coney Island Begins!
